Mountains and lakes – sheer pleasure for sure!
Ausseerland - Salzkammergut
Come here once, and you’ll come back again and again – so say the many guests who experience the attraction of this amazing place and come here to simply switch off and recharge their batteries.
The natural scenery is dominated by imposing mountains and crystal-clear lakes. It’s an overwhelming pleasure to rediscover yourself in direct and intense communication with nature. The unique landscape guarantees a relaxing holiday.
In spring, wild daffodils adorn the flower meadows of the Ausseerland – Salzkammergut region. The “Narzissenfest” or daffodil festival, Austria’s largest flower festival, also takes place every year around this time.
And of course, a summer holiday almost always involves outdoor activities. Enjoy walking the relaxing trails around the region’s many lakes, hiking to a summit in the Tote Gebirge mountains or taking a bike ride through the region. And then afterwards, take a refreshing dip in one of the lakes to cool off.
In winter, two state-of-the-art ski resorts beckon with more than 200 kilometres of cross-country trails in all degrees of difficulty, as well as many winter hiking trails. And what could be better than a fun-filled day of winter sports activities on the slopes or cross-country ski trails, followed by a relaxing visit to one of the region’s two spas: the Narzissen Vital Resort Bad Aussee and the Grimming Spa in Bad Mitterndorf invite you to their soothing warm waters.
To round off your visit, the welcoming hosts of the Ausseerland region, which is also renowned for its char and trout, pamper their guests with a vast array of regional specialities. Your appetite and well-being are always close to our heart. In Bad Aussee, the capital of traditional Austrian dress, you can also dress up in genuine, traditional national costume. Sheer pleasure for sure.
It’s great to see you again!
